I want my Mummy

Here is the last card we will be doing on our last club meeting for this session. I really love how it came out and it is sooo easy to do. Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays and I use to go all out and decorate my home for the kids, but we just dont see any trick or treaters in my neighborhood anymore and it is too bad. My son will trick or treat in my In-Laws neck of the woods (so to speak) which is only a couple miles from me and we always have a good time. They live near the intercoastal and get lots of kids (big & little) in their neighborhood. I hope to keep posting more of my spooky (and not so spooky) creations for the entire month.

Franky & Drac

Here is a pic of the cards my club members will be making at the meeting this Friday night. I wanted to do something for Halloween and I just love these cards along with the bag I posted earlier. I am still trying to perfect the Dracula card as I am not totally pleased with it yet. I am also going to make a mummy card. These are also great examples of what you can do with your supplies if you do not have a stamp to make a holiday card with. I am tossing around the idea to do a punch class for my club members for the month of November. I will post some of my creations when I get them completed.

Frankenstein: All supplies are Stampin' Up!
Papers: basic black, old olive, whisper white. Ink: old olive. Marker: basic black. Punches: 1'' circle, 1 3/8" circle. Misc: dimensionals, scissors, white gel pen.
Dracula: All supplies are Stampin' Up!
Papers: lavender lace, basic black, whisper white. Ink: lavender lace. Punches: 3/4" circle, 1" circle, 1 1/4" circle, large star, word window. misc: coluzzle, dimensionals, white gel pen.

Ribbon Share

How many times have you created a card and when you looked for ribbon to match you just couldn't find it. Now is you chance to own all the colors of ribbon that match your Stampin' Up! papers for a fraction of the cost! I am starting out with 2 ribbon shares. 1/4" grosgrain ribbons and 5/8" striped grosgrain ribbons in the new "In Colors".

This 1/4" grosgrain share will include 20 different colors including the 4 new colors. Each share will be 3 yards of 20 colors for a total of 60 yards of ribbon for only $23.00 ($3.00 more if I need to ship it to you).

Colors: basic black, whisper white, very vanilla, pumpkin pie, more mustard, apricot appeal, pretty in pink, real red, rose red, bravo burgandy, elegant eggplant, night of navy, tempting turquoise, bashful blue, sage shadow, certainly celery, old olive, mellow moss, always artichoke, chocolate chip.

The 2nd share is for the 5/8" Striped grosgrain ribbons in the new "In colors" and will 5 yards of each of the 6 colors for a total of 30 yards for $23.00 ($3.00 more if i have to ship to you). These colors are just gorgeous and I am including 5 yards instead of 3 because I know I will be using these colors a lot and I know you will be too.

Colors: Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss.

I orders and payments must be received by October 10th so that I can place the order for the ribbon. If I do not have enough interest I will give those interested the option to purchase more or cancel. Please contact me at Jacque1263@yahoo.com to sign up.

Thinking of the Holidays

I cannot believe the holidays are upon us already! This year has just flown by and it will be 2009 before we know it. This is a great time of year and is also an opportunity to make lots of cards and paper crafting items. I have been busy working on Halloween bags for my Son's 2nd grade class. My original thought was to make these bags for the kids, but I keep seeing different ideas all over the web and now I am not so sure. I know that I want to make something that will hold candy as well as a few little items that I purchased for the kids like pencils, erasers and glow bracelets to wear Halloween night. This box was made with some papers that I had laying around from last year before I became a demo.

Paper: Jeepers Creepers, Heidi Grace designs. Orange and yellow orange cardstock, Bazzill. Whisper white cardstock, Stampin' Up. Ink: basic black, pumpkin pie and really rust, Stampin Up. Punches: Scallop circle, scallop edge & round tab, Stampin' Up. Misc: $1 ribbons, dimensionals and red line tape.

More projects

I wanted to post a couple more projects that I have completed recently. I have been trying to stay busy with the stamping and scrapping and I have been struggling lately trying to get inspired. I guess I have just hit a lull.

Here is a card set that I made with the new SU set Say it With Scallops. This is the Ronald McDonald Charity set and $2.00 from each set sold goes to this wonderful charity. The set also has a matching scallop punch for $15.95. I used my cuttlebug embossing folders for this as I just love them even though they are not SU. Papers and ink used are Riding Hood Red, Whisper White and Old Olive.

Time flies

Wow, it has been a while since I posted and I really need to get on the ball. I have been a busy month and I am still playing catch up. Hunter and I went to Rapids water park a couple of weeks ago and I am still recooperating from it. We has free tickets to go again before the middle of October and I hope I am up to it. This time I think I will take a camera. Hunter's Birthday was the 6th of Sept and I made these cute cookie baggies for his class. His teacher loved them and send me a little note telling me how cute they were. I used the SU Pun Fun stamp set for the rocket. The happy birthday and Hunter stamps are unknown. Also used SU brilliant blue, yo yo yellow, whisper white and really red cardstock.
